Hello hello hello! *waves*
How bad is it to bunk classes go missing from blog for more than five days with zero updates? Not very bad I think? Well okay, that is what happens when semester begins. I am really sorry! I got caught up with a lot of things and with just five hours of sleep every night and a million things on mind, I didn't want to come here and rant endlessly! Well now that I am doing okay, meeting deadlines and spending an evening mini spa-ing myself, I am okay, I think. *Am I the queen of exaggeration or what? From when did oiling hair start becoming mini spa?!* Anyho, lets move on to the topic already. I don't want you guys to think I have totally lost it and become a dumb, dull person ;)
When AuraVedic offered to send me their Pure Aloe Vera gel, I said yes with all my might! *I really did, reaaaaalyyy!* Aura Vedic is one of the few companies that use all natural ingredients in thier products barring the preservatives. So how did the gel fare? Read on!
You may read the company and product claims here:

Cost: Rs.225/-
Quantity: 100 gms
The gel is almost clear, its got a gel like look. You get the idea :P It smells of lemons ^_^ I am a fan of citrus smells and this one is subtle, not over powering pleasant lemon fragrance-d. +1 on that. It has a pretty thin consistency and easily spreads on skin. A small rub and it dissolves into skin. Within a few minutes, it disappears into skin with no trace.
So how did it help me? These winters gave me combination skin - super dry T zone and super oily cheeks. So how on Earth do you handle that? With a moisturizer light enough not to clog the pores and heavy enough to take dryness away. And this bottle absolutely did that. Also, my skin was undergoing a bout of acne so it did help me handle the dryness.Lets check it claim by claim? ;)
Moisturizer - yes, but only if you have normal skin or oily skin. Dry skin needs a lot more moisture.
Hair styling gel -Umm not really. Its like spritzing water on hair. It calms hair instantly, but frizzes a lot more when it dries :o I tried it on damp as well as dry hair and must say it works more like a mild leave in conditioner.
Shaving gel - yea, pretty much. Though lather makes it a lot easier, the razor glides on easily. You know what the problem is? One swipe of razor and the gel from under the swiped area is totally gone and skin is no more damp. I have used it for post shave application and it did fare well there.
Burns and cuts - it actually stings on burns and cuts :P
I found an excellent usage of this gel though, as a makeup remover! It removes smudged kajal and eye liner like a boss. I take a lil amount and apply all over my face. I rub it then and swipe away with cotton and then continue my cleansing routine. Also, it has a cooling effect under eyes :)
I didn't find any cons in the product. It does sting on open acne. It must be due to the lemon oil in it.
Overall I would give it a 4/5. -1 for the sting.
Would I recommend it? Yea, its definitely a budget make up remover :D
Have you guys used this? Liked it? Let me know ;)
PS: The product has been sent by PR for review purpose. My opinion is honest. Hand on heart.
