Valinta Skin Whitening Face Wash Review

So today I had this Electronics class going on in college. You see, the period right after lunch plain sucks. Add in a subject which the girl absolutely hates, and you have a very pretty *ahem* winer ;) So, amidst playing XOXO and pretending like a very sincere student, I was byhearting the lyrics of my current addiction. (That reminds me, I have to post Favorites post of this week yet :o) ARGHH! :@ When I had holidays, I was so bored and wanted college to begin soon. Oh dear Lord, what was I thinking? >.<
Anyho, my day got much better with me receiving my much anticipated parcel from Stylecraze.com :D YAY! My flat iron has finally arrived and I can't wait to fry the hell out of my hair :D #MeNoSaddist Pictures of my haul at the end of the post okay? :)

Lets move on to the review now!

Valinta is a brand by Daxal Cosmetics. They have a wide range of products including facial kits, acne care kits, hair care items, oral care items and men's personal care items too. You can find more about the brand here.

I have used the Valinta Skin Whitening face wash for almost four weeks and its time to review it :)

Product: Skin Whitening face wash
Brand: Valinta
Cost: Rs.80/-
Quantity: 70 g (10g tube is available too :D)
Ingredient List: Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulphate, Ammonium Lauryl Ether Sulphate, Glycerine, Aloe Vera, Coco Amino Propyl Betaine, Propylene Glycol, Polysorbate 80, Tea Tree Oil/Globules, Toco Pheryl Acetate Globules, Kojic Acid Globules, D Panthenol, Salicylic acid, Methyl paraben, Triclosan, Propyl Paraben, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Perfume and water
Shelf Life: 36 months

The face wash comes in this cute and catchy pink tube with a flip cap. Sturdy enough, travel friendly! :) :D

Its got a pretty butterfly and it claims Insta5! (That rhythm-ed!)  :D  What is Insta5, you ask?

  • Soap free
  • Skin Whitening
  • Pimple Care
  • Deep cleansing
  • Moisturizing without making the skin oily

The features are attributed to the ingredients too :)

Deep cleansing of pores and pimple control, thanks to tea tree oil, triclosan and salicylic acid
Whitening of skin due to Kojic acid and vitamin E, moisturization by Pro Vita B5 and glycerine, and instant freshness by aloe vera :D

The facewash is transparent, gel like and has numerous globules - yellow and orange. #Cute. They dissolve easily but remain back sturdy enough to give a nice scrub feel.It smells fresh and gives a nice, face-washed-feel :P

*Now you know why I am an engineer ;) in making ;)*

Does it do what it claims to?

Umm yes! The pimples in formative stage dissapeared, and I do notice a glow right after washing my face. It doesn't stay though. It doesn't dry my skin off moisture, I didn't break out either. I did see a faint reduction in the scar department, but that might as well be due to my skin care regime!

My only concern is the chemical composition. The parabens, the acetates and the acids :o

Apart from that, its a decent product. Your skin can't be whitened, only the scars will fade.

Availability of products:

Now that is quite a problem. Daxal Cosmetics is yet to expand to all parts of India. Currently its available in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, MP, Chhatisgarh and Delhi. It ain't available online too :( I'll keep you guys updated on the availability as and when it expands.

So girls, do let me know what you think! :)

And here is a picture of my latest major haul - a flat iron the the hair dryer :)

I know I know, the picture plain sucks! Excuse me okay?

Let me know what's on your mind ;) *FB style*

Love,
Namita

PS: The product was sent by PR for review purpose. It hasn't affected my review, hand on heart

    1. Hey CC! :) I bought the drier from the outlet only, and the flat iron from Stylecraze. Yet to use the flat iron, you know why :) I don't think you can dry thick hair in 5 minutes :P Also, you shouldn't dry your hair when its soaking wet or even wet. Always start the drying process when its damp. I'll review it soon babe :) Ordering electronics will be pretty safe if they have a return policy :O But if you are making an investment, like 4k+ for a single item, I honestly would prefer outlets. My guy buys stuff via Flipkart though, A LOT of gadgets via Flipkart.com, he has never had a problem! :)

    1. Aaaww :D Thank you so much Opal :) My hair is thick, I am yet to get the hang of ironing it to perfection :P I am using Parachute hair serum, I don't think its heat protectant per se, any recommendations? :)
