What to keep in mind before walking out for a haircut

Hello there Daisies! :) *Aaah! I am in my best mood and mode after a workout 8)*

Wuhuu! So I am back from a day trip, and boy! It was the best or what?! Daddy Dearest let me drive for like ten minutes on the highway :D And then, he freaked out and took back the damned controls :( Anyho, I ate a lot of junk after a looooong time ^_^ Nah, no regrets cuz I know I can burn them off easily 8) *The ups of loving being fit.Wait, am I becoming a freak? :o* Many wonderful photographs and lots of laughter :D My brother wore his cowboy hat :D Adorable as hell!

After a rant, lets move on the purpose of the post now :P

I finally got a haircut. You do remember me crushing over fringes know? I didn't get them. The stylist felt it would make me face look wider and might give rise to acne on forehead. *Oily acne prone skin, why you no go away? I am nineteen now. Teenage over okay?*

She gave me layers with lots of steps :D She has made the lengths of the steps so freakin' versatile! I can set them on to one side for an almost fringe 8) Trust me when I say this, I am totally loving how my hair looks after years.

I don't have a good picture yet, cuz I am yet to buy a dryer and a flat iron. *Not obsessed at all*. You might spot the difference in the picture below :P It was mindless goofing self obsession being cute in the moving car. Seriously, you put a girl in the car for 2 hours, give her a camera and ask her not to click? *shocked face*

Drama? Me? :O Noo! :O

What do you think? ;)

Well after a lesson learnt, I thought of listing down some pointers before a hair cut :)

1. Grow your hair a wee bit more than the length you actually want. Helps immensely, I promise. It will give room to better variations if required.

2. Talk to your hair stylist and let them know what you really want. Make them understand and ask them their opinions. Make sure the stylist has ample knowledge and knows her art. *I have had a fair share of stylists who said, "Maam, layers don't suit you. It will make your hair frizzy and un-controllable" :O Thus, I would always stick to my boring old steps >.< This time I went a different one and boy! You can see the results :)*

3. Don't be hell bent on some hairstyle. *wink* A style that looks oh-so-good on a model, might not suit you. Remember, a hair cut can add ages or take them away from your face. A good haircut will accentuate your features, lessen hair problems (I have dry and split ends eternally bugging me. These layers can be trimmed once in a while without affecting the style ) and add a frame to your face.

4. Before you get an extreme makeover, think if you can pull it off. Very sharp angles, super bright highlights etc. are a lil high maintenance. Can you maintain them? Or are you a 'soft, subtle looks' girl? Give importance to such factors - they make or break a look.

5. Consider the time and styling required. Will you be able to dedicate the time to set the hair? The extra time needed in your everyday routine, ya think ya can fit it in? *I don't know why I typed the yas*

6.Take a picture of the desired cut with you while you head to the salon. It will make life easy, I promise.

7. Forget all the points you read above, and go get that sexy cut! 8) I mean c'mon! Hair is that one thing you can experiment with, have fun! :D Just give in some extra care - moisture, quality brushes and protection from sun, wind and the like, and see your hair behave :)

A hairstyle can give such a good trait to your personality. You go girl! 8)

So let me know what you think :) I can't wait to FINALLY wear all the hairbands and bow clips and aaaahh!

Oh and PS: A super awesome giveaway coming up next :D And ya know what? Its going to be international! *Wooot*
I promise you are so going to love it! 8) Oh yea! ;)

Love,
Namita
