India Circus - Mug Time!

So the other day, I was lounging around in my room, you know. Typical weekend scenes - lazying on the bed in favorite pjs, hair tied in top knot, music plugged in and a good book in hand. All was well in the world until this monster I call my best friend came in through thin air and pulled the plugs out of my ears. I swear, the only reason he is alive is because I won't look good in mugshots or prison wear -_- Since he is my mom's pet *hmph!*, he has an all access card - the fridge, the chocolates and soda, MY share of salads and desserts and the very loved, very precious coffee mugs. I don' know if its an Indian thing, but all the XX genes aged over 40 years in my family have a thing for them. These mugs are to be handled under their close surveillance. I kid you not -_- I am not allowed to use any of these as pen stands.  *Its okay to break one mug a month know? C'mon, clumsy is from genes too!*

Horror of horror, only after I saw them in his hands, I realized their existence. These babies were delivered home when I was in Kerala. And no, apparently it wasn't necessary to tell me about the arrival. "Arre, parcels toh aate rehte hai na?" *Translation : Parcels keep coming know?*

*Sigh*

After much coaxing, I got them back from the monster.

"Aunty told not to let you touch them!"

"MY house, these are MINE"

"Aunty gave it to ME"

"Jump"

"With the mugs?" *tries jumping on the trampoline called my bed, with both the mugs hanging from his fingers*

"No!" *Namaste position, pleading face*

So long story short, here is a post where I am going to swoon over how freakin' cute mugs are.

The good guys at India Circus sent this over and I haven't stopped admiring them yet.

I somehow am attached to the one with the palace print. Its just so pretty, the peacock and all.Plus its very classy, fit for a queen. Hey, life is a fairy tale okay? *Excuse the cliche!*

The mugs are from here, the sword one is from here.  The other one with the Maharaja and his sword is my bestie's favorite, it just oozes so much oomph. Something about the dash of colors amidst the greys is a nice touch :)

They are made of ceramic and are microwave safe.

Those of you that don't know about India Circus, the brand itself is based on a very interesting concept. Its a contemporary design label offering affordable, Indo-centric, and sophisticated designs by renowned designer Krsna Mehta, Design Director of India Circus. The collections offer various life-style products, ranging from home decor to personal accessories. India Circus designs seek to introduce modern sensibilities to Indian aesthetic traditions. With an All-Indian palette, India Circus draws inspiration from the flora & fauna as well as the rich heritage of India. The brand is a curation of diverse and distinct moods and tones that Mr.Mehta identifies as his vision of contemporary India. The vibrancy of colors and modern sensibility, combined with the nuanced heritage of the designs, makes each piece created at India Circus exceptional & makes it a truly flamboyant act. Here is a post I had written before.
