Maybelline Cheeky Glow Blush in Creamy Cinnamon Swatches, Review

Last evening, I finally bought text books for this semester. I went to my regular books guy and had barely mentioned 'Fifth Sem IS...' and he started piling book after book :o

From that moment, I am having horrible symptoms like nightmares, sweating, panic attacks and tension. I also dreamt of the DBMS text book falling on me and suffocating me to death. *It broke my nose too! I mean I love my nose okay? It's pretty, I think. But general public opinion says I am just obsessed with it -_- *

I think I am suffering from clinical depression or something.

Daddy called it plain laziness :\

Anyway, to snap out of bad mood, I spent the evening wearing happy colors - nail paint, blush and the type.

So here I am reviewing the Maybelline Cheeky Glow Blush in Creamy Cinnamon. It was one of the colors :D

The company claims?

  • For Cheeks that glow with a natural finish
  • Ultra light weight, silky, blendable powders

  • Meet the new blush on the block. So Silky and smooth, it blends flawlessly for the most natural finish.

  • Soft texture for a natural hue.

  • Easily blends with your skin color

  • Comes with 3 fresh colors for your pretty skin: Creamy Cinnamon, Fresh Coral and Peach Sweetie.

Cost: Rs.250/- for 7 gm

The blush comes in a cutesy box with transparent lid. #Adorable. It shuts close tight, and doesn't open easily. #TravelFriendly

Creamy Cinnamon is a color that looks brown and intense in the pan(?!) but goes coral-pinkish and sheer on application. Its a brown based pink, more like dusty pink. Its pretty sheer for one application and is definitely build-able. It takes around three swipes to show on my skin.

The blush is super fine and easily blend-able.It has very very fine shimmer in it, its absolutely milled.

With and without flash:

It stays on for two-three decent hours on me, after which it slowly fades away.

Pros and cons?

Here :)

Pros :

1. Pretty colors - it suits Indian skin tones well. The other shades - Fresh Coral, Peachy Sweetie #Aawwhh
2. Budget buy
3. Color being sheer makes me build-able - intensity that can be controlled
4. Fine, milled powder

Cons:

1. No mirror or brush :o I wish there was at least a mirror :o

That's pretty much it.

Do I recommend it?
Yes, I do. Its the perfect budget buy :D

My rating?
4/5. Packaging could have been better. And mirror could have made it easier and more travel friendly.
