Auravedic Sandal Turmeric Skin Polish Review

There is this nephew of mine, he is 3. He is a total cutypatoty in and out! He sort of owns me when he comes to my place. He has unlimited access to my wardrobe and dressing table, chocolate collection and accessories. Sometimes half my kohl goes above his lips, he loves drawing mushes :* So the other day, I was watching Vampire Diaries, swooning all over Ian, and this fellow comes and plonks himself on me, an orange tub in one hand and a spoon in other. All hell broke lose when he scooped in some product from the tub and almost put it in his mouth because boy! It was Auravedic's Skin Polish :|

I mean these kids put anything into their mouth -_- After bargaining with him and striking a deal of a Cadbury in return for the tub, he threw me a satisfied look and went out with my brother, who is cooler than me because he plays 'kiketh'.

So while I was examining the tub for any traces of more scooping, I was honestly tempted to take a bite :D I mean it looks so yumm!

Here is the review for you guys.

Auravedic Skin Polish Sandal Turmeric comes in a tub *you know it already! ;)*. It has an inner lid to avoid spilling and is travel friendly. #Win

This is basically a scrub with all the goodness of Ayurveda. See for yourself.

The scrub is a orange red in the tub but looks pale when applied. It has an amazing fragrance - the sandal doing all the magic.

It claims to improve skin by reducing age spots, hyper pigmentation, uneven skin tone and sun discoloration.

My experience?

I use it once a week. The beads are abrasive and you shouldn't scrub too hard. It spreads easily on the skin and sort of slips on the skin while polishing, which I personally like. I let it stay on my skin for five minutes before washing it away. It burns on pimples -_- My skin turns a little red after scrubbing but that happens with any scrub. I follow up with a moisturizer.

Overall, its a good product. It didn't break me out.

Pros?

  • Makes skin smooth, like butter smooth.
  • Provides good exfoliation.
  • Smells divine.
  • Economical.
  • Two years of shelf life.
  • Didn't break me out.
  • Brightens skin right after using. There is definitely a good, noticable glow.
  • Skin feels fresh.

Cons?

  • Tub packaging - unhygienic
  • It burns on pimples and dry, peeled skin.

I would give it a 3.5/5. -1 for burning sensation and -0.5 for tub pacakgiing.

Will I repurchase?
Yes, I will. The glow factor is a darling.

Will I recommend?
Yes, if you don't have crazy sensitive skin and want a pretty damn effective scrub.

Thoughts people? :)

    1. Thank you Vipra :) Oh please don't use if you suffer from major breakouts, scrubs definitely aggravate the problem :\
