Omved Eye Contour Rescue Gel Review

Is it only me or people use lyrics and meme quotes in every day life? These days I am obsessed with saying stuff like 'One doesn't simply.....................' or ' '*InsertStuff* *InsertStuff* Everywhere' and such kind talks :o Like the other day, I was cleaning my cupboard and I finally segregated my skin care, hair care and make up products and nail paints and half a million clips and scrunchies and boy! I threw away so many products and retained only the ones that work. My sister was so surprised to see half the stuff gone and she goes like "Wow di you threw away so much? All those under eye dabbas also?'

I was like

She is a meme crazed girl too, so she hi-fived me and walked away.

So by now you should have realised how much I LURVEE Omved Eye Contour Rescue gel :D

I shall do a review for you guys 8)

Cost: Rs.370/- for 15 gms

The gel comes in a very simple packaging - you open the lid and dip in your finger to take the product out. The gel is clear transparent. I couldn't even photograph it -_- It is of a consistency that looks think but spreads easily under eye.

Tip: Use your ring finger to apply anything under your eye and around it. Apparently, this finger exerts least pressure on the soft skin there, may be 'cuz it is such an awkward angle :D

So the ingredients are as follows:
100% natural. No synthetic agents. No parabens, sulfates, silicones, petrochemicals, glycols, phthalates, synthetic colours or perfumes. 100% pure therapeutic essential oils, blended in cold-pressed plant oils. Contains only herbal actives - pure botanical extracts in a natural skin and Earth-friendly base.
Therapeutic-grade pure essential oil of Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia), Chamomile (Matricaria recutita) and Vetiver( Vetiveria zizanioides), with healing Ayurvedic extracts of Harida (Terminalia chebula), Baheda, (Terminalia belerica),Green tea (Camellia sinensis) and Aloe vera (Aloe barbadensis), glycerine (from plants), blended in a pure skin and Earth-friendly natural base of De-mineralised water,
Carbopol ultrez 21 (Rheology Modifier),Phenoxyethanol and Sodium benzoate (preservative system) and Sodium hydroxide (pH adjuster)

And the instructions:
Take just a little bit of the Eye Contour Rescue Gel on your finger. Spot it around each eye. Very gently spread around the contours avoiding the eye, using gentle, tapping movements.

This gentle pressure helps stimulate circulation and drain excess fluid. Smooth gel from the inner corner of your eye out wards (upper and lower eyelids).

I apply it every night after cleansing my face. On application, the under eye area becomes warm ^_^ It's such a relaxing warmth, takes away all the stress of the day. I sometimes re-apply right when I lay down on bed just to fall asleep faster.

It definitely reduces dark circles and the ill-looking skin under eye. I have major dark circles and after having used half a dozen products that didn't work, this has been a total winner. It makes the skin supple and healthy. The eye bags have also dissapeared to a great extent.

I will definitely re-purchase this baby. Though it needs regular usage, it is worth the price as it does what it claims to do.

PS: If you have super sensitive eyes, the warmth might make you uncomfortable. It can get 'hot'.

Pros and cons:

  • Reduces dark circles
  • Reduces eye bags
  • The warming sensation is absolutely relaxing
  • A little amount goes a long way
  • Makes the skin around the eye supple
  • Doesn't burn eye if it gets in by chance
  • Economical

Cons:

  • Tub packaging - it's unhygenic and always easy to take out more product than necessary
  • The warming sensation might be a con to people with very sensitive under eye area

My rating?

4/5 -1 for the tub packaging, it's pretty unhygenic and as the product starts getting emptied, you'll have to scout the whole of the tub!

Do I recommend it?

Yes, I do. It will definitely make your under eye area a better place! :D

What do you think? :)
